FOUNDING FRAMER

Over the tumultuous summer of 2020, Ari felt the opening of an opportunity emerging out of converging crises. He formed The Reconstitution as an experiment in rethinking what’s possible for the future of politics. Ari’s passion for breadth and depth echoes throughout his multidisciplinary background. He spent 4 years in Washington DC, where he received his JD from Georgetown Law and worked at Sidley Austin representing clients on Capitol Hill during the 2008 financial crisis and subsequent Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform. He then spent a year pursuing a Masters in Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, before landing in the education technology industry. He now works at Amplify Education as a Director of Product Management for Amplify Reading — a personalized digital literacy program used by over 1 million students nationwide.

FRAMER

Ryan works with governments, businesses, non-profits, and civic leaders to bridge divides and make communities more resilient to conflict. He received his training in mediation and facilitation from East County Resolutions in Gresham, OR, and currently works as a facilitator for Department of Human Services family decision cases. He is Board Vice President of the Oregon Mediation Association and also on the Beaverton Center for Mediation and Dialogue advisory committee. Ryan also works with Cure Violence Global where he provides consultation around the ideological influences in violent extremism while also conducting outreach to rural conservatives. He facilitates for Civic Synergy, which brings college students of diverging political views together to formulate bipartisan policy solutions that are proposed to members of Congress. Ryan also leads workshops and seminars on systems thinking, complexity informed approaches to diversity, political depolarization, and interventions for extremist radicalization. In his free time, Ryan enjoys studying politics, philosophy, and complex systems, and is attempting to formulate a new style of politics that transcends polarization and entrenched partisanship, called Meta-Ideological Politics. He lives in Toledo, WA with his wife and nine goats.

Rachel Keune Mincey Ed.D. is a mother of two and a former elementary school teacher of eleven years. Currently, she is a research faculty member at the Learning Systems Institute at Florida State University. Her expertise is literacy and pedagogy and works in international development. Since 2021, she has served as technical expert on USAID's Transforming Teacher Education Zambia (TTE) developing curriculum materials for the country's twelve colleges and universities in order to strengthen teacher educator's capacity to deliver quality literacy and language instruction to pre-service teachers.

Brad Kershner is a school leader, an independent scholar, a doctor of philosophy, a father, a husband, a loyal and devoted friend to all beings, and the author of Understanding Educational Complexity. He has travelled extensively and lived in many places, while devoting much of his life to practicing the art of stillness. Brad has been working on the Reconstitution project for reasons that are beyond his comprehension, but it may have something to do with his sense that there is unfathomable potential in the possibility space of collective emergence, and everything matters, and while there is no way to adequately describe the process we’re all engaged in, seeds will grow, spores will spread, metamemes will manifest, and it’s probably a good idea to be open-minded about the role one can play in the Great Unfolding.

FRAMER

Nate hails from rural Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelors of Science in Political Science and Psychology from Allegheny College. His thesis there addressed new civic styles emerging from the Internetization of the political sphere. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, he was an English teacher at a middle school in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Greatly impacted by his friends and students there, he tries to consider the Global South when he’s thinking about how to usher in new patterns of organization through projects like the Reconstitution. Nowadays, Nate lives in Washington D.C. where he works for the U.S. government. He’s a registered Republican (if an eclectic one), and as such, he brings a conservative lens to the Framers' discussions.

Manik Perera currently plays with psychology, art, tech and the legacy of naturecultures, to create digital experiences that are protopias of kinder worlds. In related and foundational professional incarnations past, I have designed and implemented transformative system change programs with Oxfam in Asia and Africa, working with the amazing teams and inspiring publics. Now settled close to my current spiritual home, the land mass of the USA, and flitting mostly between the East and West coasts, I have experimented and continue to explore the legacy of digital cultures and the implications for the age to come.

John Bunzl is an Austrian political scientist and Middle East expert as well as a sociologist. He is a Senior Fellow of the Austrian Institute for International Politics. He initiated the Simpol concept in 1998 and since founded the International Simultaneous Policy Organisation (ISPO) to campaign for the adoption of Simpol around the world. He is author of The Simultaneous Policy - An Insider's Guide to Saving Humanity and the Planet, has given lectures and workshops on Simpol to many conferences, including to the World Trade Organisation, the World Social Forum and the Schumacher Society.
